In the tradition of other hut systems around the world, AP’s backcountry buildings offer comfortable and affordable accommodations in spectacular settings. The huts consist of two 30-foot yurts connected with a hallway and accommodate 9 people in 4 bunk rooms. One yurt serves as sleeping space, the other contains the kitchen, dining tables, a library, a seating area and interpretive displays. Solar power supplies lights, a refrigerator and outlets for charging small electronics. For those who’d like to travel even lighter, a custom service is available to provide meals, sleeping bags and other required equipment.
The huts are ideal basecamps for exploring the prairie by foot, bike, 4WD vehicle, canoe or kayak, or horseback.
